REVELS FISHERY

The Revels Fishery is a great mixed commercial fishery that provides ample fishing opportunities for match and pleasure anglers in it's well stocked lakes. Revels also caters for specimen hunters with large Carp to 30lb+ and huge Catfish in it's specimen lake as well as having large Perch,Roach and Bream in it's many other lakes. Revels is in Cosmore which is 9 miles from both Sherborne in one direction and Dorchester in the other. The fishery consists of 7 day ticket fishing lakes extensively stocked with coarse fish, It also has 2 local Trout Fly lakes and a further 3 exclusive Coarse lakes. Revels also has a large on site tackle shop stocked with an extensive range of equipment Coarse, Sea and Game including live Coarse and Sea baits and also offers self catering holiday accommodation.





Revels is open 7 days a week.
The on-site tackle shop is open from 7a.m-7p.m and the fishery is open all the time-(Night fishing is available although night anglers must be in by 8p.m.)


FISHING LAKES



The Revels fishery has 13 lakes and ponds in total.
(7 Dayticket Coarse lakes & 2 trout lakes and a further 4 exclusive Coarse lakes and ponds)
There is a main complex of 4 lakes which are stocked extensively with 18 species of fish. 5 types of carp to 30lb+. Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Chub, Dace, Perch e.t.c all to specimen sizes. These lakes are available for day ticket and night fishing.


There is then a further 2 lakes on adjoining property.
The bottom of these is stocked with Pike of various sizes and a few very large carp to 30lb+ which in this lake have a reputation of being challenging to catch also a few Rudd and tench and very big Bream.
The top lake is stocked very heavily with carp to double figures, Crucian carp, Roach and Bream. This lake regularly produces bags of fish to 200lb+ during the summer months and a pleasure bag record was set summer 2006 with over 400lb in a 10hour session.
There are also a few large Pike in here as well. These 2 lakes are available for day ticket fishing but there is no night fishing allowed on these 2 waters


There is also a recently extended lake that is heavily stocked with carp from1-7lbs which is exclusive to visiting holiday anglers and season ticket holders.


 REVELS TACKLE SHOP



There is on site an extensively stocked 1000ft² tackle stocked with a vast array of gear catering for all branches of angling from Coarse, Sea, Game and Specialist tackle. Every corner of the shop is packed with rods, reels, bags, nets, accessories and much more. There is also a huge array of baits for Coarse and Sea fishing including maggots and live ragworm and lugworm. The tackle shop is open every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • PRIVATE MATCH BOOKINGS We can take these from individuals, clubs or Companies and shut a whole lake off if needed at a reduced pegging fee please ring for prices and availability
  • A day ticket purchased from us entitles you to fish any of the day ticket waters on site we don't believe in charging separate for each lake as we believe if an angler wants to fish our waters then they should be free to choose whichever lake they wish. All our dayticket coarse lakes are easily walkable from the shop and car park and you do not have to drive to the different coarse lakes.


 LOCATION

Revels Fishery, Cosmore, Near Dorchester, Dorset. SAT NAV:- DT2 7TW

From Dorchester town centre roundabout head towards Sherborne. At loders garage on the edge of town turn right sign posted "Sherborne alternative route for light vehicles"(its NOT the A352 if you find yourself on the A352 then return to Dorchester and try again as this road will take you a long way out of your way) follow this road over bridges and past the Sun Inn public house then a further 8 miles. Past Giants Head Caravan Park a further mile down Revels Hill and we are at the foot on the right hand side.

From A30 at Sherborne get on the A352 towards Dorchester. Follow this road through Long Burton, Holnest and then Middlemarsh. In Middlemarsh the road forks take the left fork off the A352 sign posted "Dorchester alternative route for light vehicles." Take this fork Past wood mills and we are one mile further on the left hand side.
